Recently in Chicago, authorities have uncovered an identity theft ring, what is so unusual is that they were using tickets to the Oprah show as bait. Online scammers were putting out a call to people who had tickets to Oprah and that these people had to call a number and give their personal information to these people under the premise that they had to give their identification to people on the phone in order to confirm their seats.
But as some people were doing this, the people were having their identities stolen. Another scam-involved people who were trying to sell tickets to Oprah’s show online. These people were requesting that viewers send a money transfer to get these tickets.
To help people who have never had tickets before this is how it works. You can ONLY get tickets through the Oprah Show website and you have to speak to someone in order to get these tickets. These tickets do not cost anything and anyone who asks you to pay for tickets then you know it’s a scam.
The Oprah show does it this way so people cannot use her show to scam others but unfortunately it does happen from time to time, just know that tickets are free and you can only get them from the Oprah show.
