Not only does Oprah has the highest rated TV show but she has also other ventures that she is involved in. Her website has created a place where her viewers can read about her book clubs and her charities, it is where she does a lot of good for a lot of people. Her website gets over 100 page views and more than three million users per month.
The biggest deal on satellite radio occurred on February 9, 2006, Oprah signed a $ 55 million dollar deal for a three-year deal with XM Satellite Radio to start her own channel. The channel itself will be called the Oprah and Friends. The channel is a 24-hour a day 7 days a week.
The contract has Oprah being on the air herself for 30 minutes for 39 weeks out of the year. She will have her best friend Gayle King, Dr. Robin Smith and many of her contributors to her magazine will be guest on her radio show.
Oprah has brought cooking guru Rachael Ray to network TV. On September 18, 2006, Rachael Ray’s talk/cooking show aired on the ABC network.
Oprah will also have a voice in the new Charlotte’s Web movie; she will voice the character of Gussy the Goose. She will also lend her voice to the animated movie Bee Movie coming out in 2007.
